How you can get involved

It's really simple to get involved, just pledge to walk, run, swim or cycle a certain number of miles during the challenge timeframe. For example, you could pledge to walk to work or school one day a week during the challenge, do a five-mile run once a week or if you're doing something huge like a marathon then please pledge your miles to us!

To add your miles to the total, please email us with:
  • Your name
  • The number of miles you pledge to complete
  • If you also want to send us more information about what you did and send us a photo that would be great, but not compulsory! We will use these details on this blog on the 'How we're doing' page.
And then just ask your friends and family to sponsor the challenge as a whole. They don't need to sponsor each individual part and you don't need to organise your own fundraising, just direct them to

As well as your own pledges we will also be organising specific events during the challenge, such as a Coast to Coast bike ride, a walk from Ecclesfield to Sheffield Children's Hospital and a children's walk around Ecclesfield park. if you'd like to get involved in any of these, email us and we'll keep you updated.
